Chapter 6 Season 4 of Fortnite is almost over. People who play games have been talking about what will happen next in the very famous Battle Royale game produced by Epic Games.
And the Halloween-themed Fortnitemares update has given players nearly three solid weeks’ worth of fun things to do. The last collaboration behind it, Epic Games, today started its next big venture. The Simpsons family has arrived in Fortnite.
The early word is that it’s going to be a shorter season. It could even last just one month à la Chapter 2 Remix. Here is what we know so far about the release date, time, and what players can expect.
When Is the Fortnite Simpsons Season?
The Simpsons Fortnite season starts on November 1, 2025, at 5 PM ET (9 PM UTC). Along with the fresh event, there is a temporary live experience that is very enjoyable to participate in. It will be available in a new playlist in the game just before the servers are taken down for maintenance.
New seasons are typically released by Epic Games in the early morning. The latter date competes with Halloween — on Oct. 31. And the timing of the scheduling decision will result in Fortnite’s celebrations and haunts unfolding seamlessly into the holiday season.
It is now official, in more ways than one, as Epic confirmed it today. Teasers were distributed on TikTok and on outdoor advertising, fueling excitement among segments of the gaming community.
Springfield Comes to Battle Royale in Official Teasers
The rumors turned out to be true: The Simpsons will be joining Fortnite. Just today (October 27), Epic Games and The Simpsons released a surprise promo video.
The clip sees aliens Kang and Kodos using a tractor beam to elevate cartoon depictions of Jonesy and Hope. It was a clear message: tune into the Nov. 1 game.
The live item is a precursor to the official start of the mini-season. This quest will last through November 28. Epic hopes to make as few tweaks as possible in the meantime, lest it discourage its community.
In-Game Hints and Map Changes

Recent updates have added additional clues sprinkled throughout the game. Bart Simpson’s treehouse has been erected on the site of Creepy Camps. The form features purple reality rifts at Stage 4 and an O.X.R. countdown, along with anomaly effects.
Epic went so far as to alter its own Fortnitemares logo. The company amended that to “Fartnitemares” with El Barto graffiti. Simpson iconography brags that broken vandalism, along with classic lines like “eat my shorts.”
What the Leaks Reveal About Springfield
Rumors of this partnership spread earlier in the year. The news first broke in September when dataminers found large content files.
The Springfield Map
There is a full cel-shaded map of Springfield in the game files. The map is Reload-sized and even has a lot of familiar places:
- Moe’s Tavern
- Springfield Nuclear Power Plant
- Kwik-E-Mart
- Springfield Elementary School
Players will get to explore the animated world they know from TV in these iconic locations.
Battle Pass Characters and Items
The Battle Pass is codenamed “WILDESTATE” in the game files. There’ll be Simpsons-inspired player skins, including:
- Homer Simpson
- Marge Simpson
- Bart Simpson
- Lisa Simpson
- Krusty the Clown
- Ned Flanders
- Moe Szyslak
Other cosmetic items include flying discs modelled after the alien pair Kang and Kodos. Non-playable characters will appear in different places around the map. Add a slapstick new obstacle in the form of “Donut Rain” for even more laughs.
What Makes This Season Different?
This was an unforgettably huge cultural collision. The Simpsons has become a sitcom institution for more than 30 years. Placing Springfield in Fortnite unites generations of fans.
A mini-season format also helps keep content fresh for players, who don’t get bogged down. With a duration of about four weeks, it’s long enough to grind out those Battle Pass challenges without being forced to play too quickly.
The style, a bit cel-shaded, is consistent with the Sunday comics look of The Simpsons. With this focus on visual aesthetics, the crossover should feel true and familiar in both universes.
Preparing for the Simpsons Season

A countdown is implemented as part of the game to signal the number of days left before the new season will be released and remind Fortnite’s challenges by 1 November. After that, the new season will be your only option for obtaining these rewards.
Unless you are there, you won’t have a chance to use the exclusive content that may never be available again. So, tempting as it may be, do NOT jump the gun before the go-live event.
Also, it might not be a bad idea to check if you have enough room left on your hard drive before the season finale arrives when you’re in front of your console or sitting at your PC. Sometimes these final episodes have a drawback: They must be downloaded in bunches of several gigabytes and archived on your hard drive.
