Crook’s Hallow is one of the islands of the FischFright event. It’s the location you’ll return to for most of your quests, and home to a handful of brand new NPCs that provide various quests and rewards. It is an exceptional, eerie, atypical space, but one most easy to navigate.
The Headless Horseman is an NPC you can’t possibly overlook. He features prominently in the Jack-O-Blazers questline, which is made up of five separate missions. He offers a unique reward, the Jack-O-Blazer Rod, for completing all five missions.
Full Quest Guide: Five Tasks to Complete
Task 1: Get a Frightful Jack-O-Lantern
The first thing you need to do is catch a unique Jack-O-Lantern. This can be fished off the waters near Crook’s Hollow. But the drop rate is so low that patience is a must.
Jack-O-Lantern requires the Frightful mutation, which can be done in two methods: either obtain a Frightful Relic and enchant your fishing rod with it before casting, or catch a normal Jack-O-Lantern, and after some time, once appraised, it will transform into the Frightful version.
The Frightful Relic is usually faster to use. It is a time saver over continually appraising caught items. Continue to fish in the specific spot until you can catch this unique find.
Task 2: Collect 5 Wisps from the Graveyard
The collection of wisps is the sight of particular spirits, and in this case, can be found in the inhabited outskirts of the graveyard adjacent to the Headless Horseman. Head to the graveyard to the right of his location. Follow the path shown, and you will land exactly on the spot.

Task 3: Search the Mansion for the Haunted Candle
Your third task will be to go through the Mansion. Please complete the previous two before you start this one. The progression system requires you to complete previous quests first.
Once inside the Mansion, find a Haunted Candle. This unique candle looks darker than standard candles. It will manifest in any area inside the building where standard candles are set.
Search in places you would usually find candles. Inspect tables, shelving, and decorative items. The Haunted Candle replaces ordinary candles to ensure you can focus your search more specifically. Search every nook and cranny of each one of the rooms until you find this dark candle.
Task 4: Get Your Hands on a Blaze Handle
The Blaze Handle originates from the Witch’s Cauldron system. It requires some effort, and attention to game notifications will be needed.
To begin, pay attention to notifications indicating the appearance of goblins in the main world. Go to any of the islands where you see a goblin. Find and interact with it to receive a challenge.
Completing the challenge gives you a Witch’s ingredient. Bring it to the Witch’s Cauldron to submit. The Cauldron grants random FischFright rewards for every set of ingredients you submit.
Among these rewards is the Blaze Handle. Keep submitting ingredients to obtain it. This process is quite random, so it will take a few attempts to secure the Handle.
Task 5: Collect 5000 Candy Corn
Lastly, you need to grind out a bunch of event currency. To complete this challenge, you’re going to have to collect 5000 Candy Corn. The good news is that there are several ways to get this currency.
You can get a fairly consistent flow of Candy Corn from trick or treating. Receive extra rewards when you complete quests from the many NPCs around Crook’s Hallow. Toss ingredients into the Witch’s Cauldron for extra Candy Corn plus more.
You can also get Candy Corn just by opening Frightful Crates. Use all of these together to get there more quickly. Talk to the Headless Horseman about how you are doing. He will update you on the amount of Candy Corn you have remaining to collect.
