99 Nights in the Forest Thanksgiving Event (Complete List of All Tasks and Rewards)
Survival games get a fun update in the holiday season. “It’s Thanksgiving Time!” The Thanksgiving event of 99 Nights in the Forest brings brand new content and rich rewards! Players can partake in new quests, special recipes and items that are only available during the limited time event.
Everything you need to know about the event is in this guide. You will learn how to finish quests, cook dishes and get all rewards effectively.
What Exactly is the Thanksgiving Event in 99 Nights in the Forest?
The Thanksgiving update turns your experience into a cooking game. But rather than merely surviving, you’ll be throwing a dinner party for enigmatic forest guests.
It lasts for an entire week, so you have a number of opportunities to achieve objectives. The objective could not be more straightforward: cook and serve the guests who show up by day five.
All Thanksgiving Quests and Rewards
The event contains 4 separate quests. Every quest pays you depending on how many guests you service successfully.
Quest List:
| Quests | Rewards |
|---|---|
| Serve 3+ guests | Bronze Lid Thanksgiving Chest |
| Serve 5+ guests | Silver Lid Thanksgiving Chest |
| Serve 8+ guests | Gold Lid Thanksgiving Chest |
| Feed your guest(s) | Thanksgiving Meal |
The Thanksgiving Chests are filled with awesome loot! Some players have told me they’ve received Tridents, Scythes, Crossbows and an Armor Trim Kit from these rewards. Some chests also include diamonds.
Note: You must feed a minimum of 8 guests to collect all rewards. But you’re permitted to serve up to 10 guests in total for the event.
How to Begin the Thanksgiving Challenge
There is a particular approach to entering the event. If you do, here’s how to get started cooking.
Step 1: Make the Thanksgiving Crock Pot
The Crock Pot is only available after you’ve upgraded your Crafting Bench to Tier 3. This upgrade costs 15 Logs and 10 Bolts.
Make this upgrade as soon as possible on Day 1. You cannot put together a single Thanksgiving recipe without the Crock Pot.
After you have created the Crock Pot, put it next to your campfire. An announcement will appear displaying your first recipe.
Step 2: Cook Dishes in The Right Order
The event is based on a milestone system. Each dish has to be cooked before you can unlock the next recipe.
Only one recipe is shown at a time on the Crock Pot. You have to complete it before the next one comes up. You may not skip forward or make the same dish twice.
Gather ingredients from various biomes. Toss them in a Crock Pot and let it do all the cooking. Then add your finished dish to the Thanksgiving Dinner Table.
Step 3: Serve Guests on Day 5
On Day 5, guests will visit the players. Five other diners come to your table at a Thanksgiving party.
Keep near the table while they’re there. Their glasses need to be refilled with Berry Juice in order to keep them happy!
Step 4: Collect Your Rewards on Day 6
The following day, guests deposit rewards behind. Quality and quantity depends on the number of guests you have successfully served.
Feeding 8 or more guests ensures that you will get all the chest rewards, including the even-coveted Gold Lid Thanksgiving Chest.

Where to Find Thanksgiving Ingredients
3 new ingredients in the update: Turkey Leg, Stuffing and Sweet Potato.
Turkey Leg and Stuffing
The Turkey Leg is dropped by wild turkeys in Autumn Zones. Orange-leafed trees set these zones apart.
Stuffing is also left by wild turkeys in the Autumn Zones, though less common than Turkey Leg. You might want to make a few other hunting trips to gather this much Stuffing for another recipe.
Turkeys are alert creatures. They start to run at the sight of movement, so they are hard to hunt.
Sweet Potato
Sweet Potatoes grow in Autumn Zones. Find them lying on the ground near turkey spawns.
Other Essential Ingredients
- Berries: Gather on bushes of the Forest Biome
- Corn: Farm Plots (It will take 2 game days to grow)
- Chili: Exclusive to Chili Seed Packs
- Cake: Uncommon drop from Farm Plots
- Pumpkin: Uncommon, from Farm Plots (2.5% chance)
- Swordfish: Fish from ponds
- Ribs: Dropped by mammoths in Snow Biome
Pro Moves to Complete the Challenge
Success requires strategic planning. Use these pointers to ensure you’re being productive.
Build Farm Plots Early
Crops such as Corn and Chili don’t naturally spawn reliably in the wild. Farm Plots allow you to farm the key ingredients while keeping it consistent each time in five days.
Start planting corn on Day 1. And, the established time of growth helps to ensure you have it when needed.
Play in a Group
Corn, Chili and Turkey drops are too slow to spawn on their own. Pretty much all players do by playing in multiplayer.
Assign roles to team members. One person tracks and hunts turkeys, another tends the farm and a third fishes.
Stockpile Ingredients
Share storage space by your Crock Pot. This compact design saves time when cooking.
Collect berries early. They are needed in more than one recipe and spawn infinitely.
Hunt Turkeys Efficiently
Hunt turkeys together to boost your chances of rare ingredient drops. Early in the days, that’s a mid game Autumn Zone focus.
You will use about 5 Turkey Legs and 4 Stuffing total for all of these recipes.
